A bluetooth handsfree car kit can help you use your mobile phone in your car and not break the law.

From 27th Februray 2007, the penalty for using a handheld phone whilst driving is £60 plus 3 penalty points.

There is also a possible court fine of up to £1000.

If you need to hold a mobile phone, or device, at any point in the process then it is classed as hand-held (this includes holding the phone between ear and shoulder).

But, if you use a bluetooth handsfree car kit, then you are not breaking the law and are free to speak as you wish.
