The hydraulic unit contains the pump necessary for generating the pressure needed to control wheel lock and release. Issues with ABS hydraulic units can result in fluid leaks or pressure sensor failure.
3. ABS Motor: Attached to the hydraulic unit, the ABS motor drives the pump during emergency braking events. Constant activation of the ABS motor may indicate an internal short in the ABS module. The ABS motor can fail due to water ingress or internal component breakdown.
